long covid patients have waited too long foR TESTS, TRIALS & TREATMENTS.
Founded in January 2024, Long COVID Campaign (LCC) fights for equitable, accessible and affordable treatment for all.
We advocate for accelerated research and expanded programs to support people living with and impacted by Long COVID.
LCC partners with patients, caregivers, heath workers, civil society, scientists and policymakers globally to develop, fund and scale solutions—and end Long COVID together.
We work with—but don’t accept donations from—pharma and governments, so we can keep our focus firmly on collaboration that always reflects patients’ needs.
WE HAVE five KEY PILLARS OF WORK for 2026. are you ready?
Long COVID Campaign believes this is a critical year for accelerating U.S. & global research, ensuring patients’ urgent & growing needs don’t fall off the funding agenda or lose prioritization. We can’t force scientific breakthroughs, but we CAN reduce drag from funding, collaboration & public-private sector challenges.
-
We make evidence-based and community-informed cases for increased investment in research that will result in affordable access to our first FDA-approved tests & treatments.
We fight to ensure care and support programs for patients are expanded and funded, as we wait for a cure. -
Clinicians, researchers, nonprofits, donors, regulators & patients around the world must develop a specific, time-bound “Global Long COVID Roadmap”. History shows us from HIV/AIDS to polio: coordinated international agendas, backed by multi-year funding & clear scientific targets, deliver results. We can’t rely on one country or a few donors; incredible scientists already leading this work need predictable, sustained investment. Only a multilateral plan with real resources will yield treatment breakthroughs accessible to all patients.
-
We conduct non-partisan analysis of current policy efforts, to highlight opportunities for increased effectiveness and frameworks for partnership.
We track current research progress and roadblocks, releasing that information and analysis to media, leaders and the larger Long COVID community for awareness and engagement.
-
We engage media to raise public awareness and reach key leaders to further the fight to end Long COVID. We educate press on Long COVID and highlight local Long COVID patients in their communities, to make the need for care and treatment visible and local.
-
Look, we’re sick. No one organization or individual can solve this alone—we carry each other. We aim to support a vibrant, diverse ecosystem of Long COVID groups and individual patient-advocates by creating open, flexible opportunities to engage and advocate for key moments and campaigns.
We support the inclusion and access of disabled and chronically ill members of the Long COVID community by awarding patient-advocate stipends and offering no-cost intensive assistance for travel and advocacy engagement.
In 2026, we hope to launch a U.S. & Global Long COVID Coalition, to support organizational and individual advocate growth and sustainability—and help the U.S. and global Long COVID advocacy sector be "greater than the sum of our parts".
